Iceland: the cold never bothered me anyway…

….ok that is a blatant lie! Iceland was incredibly cold and the only thing that made me willing to brave the temperatures (which reportedly reached -18 in parts of the country while we were there) was the fact that my intrepid husband agreed to self-drive and the car had heated seats! You’ll see why this was such a feat of bravery in the video below – a selection of scenes from our drive!

But the scenery was spectacular, what follows is a photo log of the awe inspiring sights we were fortunate enough to witness from our base in Reykjavik, including the Blue Lagoon, Thingvellir, Geysir, Lava Fields, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Viking Village and all the bits in-between.
